The aim of our school Learning Council is to give us a voice about our learning within the school. We are committed to improving our learning in our school but to also ensure that learning is engaging, interactive and challenging. Our learning council feeds back to the teachers to enable them to plan further engaging, motivating and challenging lessons for us and to ensure that the curriculum is relevant and deepens our understanding.

We meet every three weeks to discuss new learning initiatives as well as evaluate the impact of the lesson timeline, the curriculum and the classroom learning environment. We have the opportunity to visit classes and observe the learning in our school and discuss new opportunities to enhance lessons.

We meet with the learning councils from other schools in our trust and have the opportunity to visit their schools and lessons to carry out joint learning walks. This enables us to see what learning is like in another school and gain ideas but also to consider what is working well within our school.



We also attend the parent council meetings and give feedback on our learning to them too.
